Manager Laboratory Quality and Compliance

Location: Grove City, Ohio, 43123 Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Position Purpose Manager, Laboratory Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and monitoring the operations of the assigned department(s) within the MCHS laboratory structure, along with all assigned duties across MCHS. The role collaborates with other MCHS management and Pathologist(s) to identify, implement, and achieve strategic and operational objectives of MCHS. Responsibilities include supporting facilities as a resource in times of need, developing, implementing, and monitoring Point of Care Testing (POCT) including new testing procedures, participating in evaluation and development of new POCT, maintaining proper records, preparing and presenting internal quality assurance reports, developing corrective action plans for quality deficiencies, maintaining policy and procedure manuals in accordance with CAP, CLIA, CMS, JCAHO standards, ensuring test systems are working properly, troubleshooting equipment, and training and orienting personnel to confirm competency. This position will be the Lab Manager for the Grove City site and provide quality, compliance and POCT systemwide oversight. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Arts preferred; Master’s Degree preferred. Licensure/Certification: Clinical Laboratory Professional (MLS, CLS, MT (ASCP)) or equivalent. Experience: At least three years of diversified, practical experience in all areas of medical laboratory; five years of recent medical laboratory operations, leadership experience preferred. Effective communication skills. Demonstrated leadership qualities including human relations skills, financial management abilities, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills. Experience setting up and maintaining a clinical laboratory quality program aligned with CLIA and CAP requirements. History of preparing for CAP inspections in multiple laboratory areas. Successfully led teams in support of CAP inspections. Experience leading point of care testing programs desired.
