Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible schedule | 2-5 days per week | Weekday and weekend availability

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and clinical assessments in an on-site setting in Corbin, Kentucky .
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to conduct thorough psychiatric assessments while maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. This opportunity is well suited for a physician seeking a flexible independent contractor arrangement with the ability to select a schedule based on availability.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and clinical assessments.

• Obtain detailed psychiatric, medical, psychosocial, and relevant treatment histories.

• Assess patients' current mental health status and identify relevant psychiatric conditions.

• Perform appropriate mental status examinations and document clinical findings.

• Develop accurate clinical impressions and diagnostic assessments based on available evidence.

• Prepare thorough, timely, and accurate clinical documentation and evaluation reports.

• Provide clear, objective, and evidence-based clinical opinions when required.

• Review relevant medical records and supporting documentation as part of the evaluation process.

• Maintain strict compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations..

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine ( MD ) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine ( DO ) degree from an accredited medical school.

• Active, unrestricted Kentucky medical license or ability to obtain/maintain the required licensure.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry .

• Clinical experience providing psychiatric assessments and evaluations.

• Strong clinical documentation and report-writing skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage assigned evaluations efficiently.

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to make objective, evidence-based assessments.

• Commitment to patient confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and professional standards.
