- Software Dev Engineer - Software Dev Engineer IVApply**Job#: 3046509****Job Description:**Software Dev Engineer - Software Dev Engineer IV**Location:** Dallas, Texas (Onsite)COMPENSATION: $73 - $83 HOURLYRole OverviewThis role involves the design, development, implementation, testing, and delivery of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. The position requires assisting in the analysis of business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for robust and scalable solutions. The engineer will take ownership of system components and serve as a technical lead on complex projects.Key Responsibilities* Design, develop, and deliver software applications, tools, systems, and services.* Utilize multi-threaded and distributed programming in Java and C++ in a Linux environment.* Work with JDBC, SQL, Oracle, and middleware messaging systems.* Gather and analyze business and functional requirements, translating them into technical specifications.* Serve as a technical lead on projects, applying best practice engineering standards.* Produce comprehensive and usable software documentation.* Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.* Travel as required for onsite troubleshooting or project launches.Required Qualifications**Education:** A Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience will be accepted.**Experience:** One year of experience in Software Engineering, Software Development, or a related occupation is necessary with a Master's degree.
