Come join the team!The Opportunity:We are seeking a highly strategic, organized, and results-driven North America Tax Team Leader (NATT) to provide business tax compliance oversight of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and State & Local Tax (SALT) Teams and serve as subject matter expert for audit and business tax support.1. Corporate Income Tax ComplianceReview quarterly and annual tax calculations, workpapers, returns, and payments prepared by the CIT teamCIT ProvisionCIT Estimated/Extension PaymentsCIT ReturnsWithholding Tax ReturnsFBAR ReportingSupport annual R&E and TP analysis and review annual studies prepared by external consulting firmsR&E Tax CreditTransfer Pricing2. State & Local Tax ComplianceReview monthly, quarterly, and annual tax calculations, workpapers, returns, and payments prepared by the SALT teamSales and Use Tax ReturnsBusiness Property Tax ReturnsUnclaimed Property ReturnsGross Receipts Tax ReturnsBusiness License and Other Tax FilingsForm 10993. AuditManage federal and state audit inventorySchedule status meetings/calls with external auditors as warrantedPrepare and submit written responses and supporting documentation to auditors in response to information document requests (IDRs)Estimate the tax and interest impact of proposed adjustmentsWork with auditors and appeals officers to resolve disputesCoordinate execution of audit closing documentsRevise compliance processes as necessary in response to audit adjustment4. Business SupportProvide Guidance on New or Expanding Business TransactionsReview product sales, service, and purchase contracts related to new and changing operational scenariosProvide advice to ensure proper tax complianceCultivate relationships across functional areas to discuss tax implications of contemplated transactions to reach consensus on action plansGovernment Tax IncentivesMeet with business unit management and other internal stakeholders to understand new or expanding business operationsDetermine if there are federal and state economic incentives that may apply to contemplated investmentPrepare project profiles and meet with government agencies to reviewCoordinate the preparation and submission of any required applications for incentives and work with government agencies to implement incentive agreementsEnsure the Company claims all incentives that were grantedDispositions/AcquisitionsProvide tax support for dispositions/acquisitions of Company subsidiaries or other equity interests in partnerships or joint venturesAffiliated Entity SupportProvide general tax guidance and support of specific tax matters on an as-needed basisTax ResearchPerform tax research on and pro-active, reactive, and as-directed basisExternal SupportServe as the lead tax representative with consulting firms in sourcing external support for tax engagements and in negotiating terms and fee arrangements of work performed5.
