Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Toast POS.
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and cashiering procedures.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items while maintaining food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently by utilizing time management skills to ensure quick service during busy periods.
• Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance customer experience.
• Follow all food handling, safety regulations, and health standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Skills

• Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
