Position: MRI Technologist

Shift Details

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)

Guaranteed Hours: Applicable after the first call-off per pay period

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist with extensive experience in Siemens MRI platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, along with the necessary technical skills and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform approximately 12 MRI scans daily, including abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal studies.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as Diffusion Imaging, Gradient Echo Imaging, Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), and Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP).
• Ensure accurate image post-processing and maintain PACS proficiency.
• Administer contrast media and prepare patients for MRI procedures.
• Conduct imaging for a variety of cases, including outpatient consultations (limited to patients with pacemakers or requiring anesthesia), inpatient care, and occasional emergency department (ED) cases.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year in MRI.
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT certification, and active Florida state license are required.
• Other Requirements: Knowledge of Cerner EMR is preferred. COVID-19 vaccination is required (medical or religious exemptions accepted).

Special Skills and Experience

• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment and various imaging techniques.
• Strong skills in handling abdominal, thoracic, neural, and musculoskeletal studies.
• Proficiency in preparation and administration of contrast media and operating surface coils.
• Comfortable performing interventions like starting peripheral IVs.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary support in diverse patient demographics, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
