Behavioral Direct Support Professional (DSP) IDD / DDD | Behavioral Support Pay: $23–$30 per hour Job Description as a Behavioral Direct Support Professional (DSP) We are hiring experienced Behavioral Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). This role focuses on implementing a Behavior Support Plan (BSP) developed by a licensed behaviorist. DSPs in this role are not responsible for writing behavior plans — your role is to provide consistent, hands‑on support while following a clearly defined plan and structure. This position is ideal for DSPs who are confident, patient, reliable, and experienced working with behavioral needs. What You’ll Do as a Behavioral Direct Support Professional (DSP) Implement an established Behavior Support Plan (BSP) under clinical supervision Provide 1:1 support in home and community settings Use proactive behavioral strategies and de‑escalation techniques Support daily living skills, routines, and community engagement Accurately complete service notes and required documentation Communicate observations and concerns to supervisors and clinicians Follow ISP goals, BSP guidelines, and NJ DDD requirements Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful environment Who We’re Looking For In a Behavioral Direct Support Professional (DSP) DSPs with prior experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs Individuals comfortable following structured plans and routines Reliable, consistent, and professional caregivers Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations Qualifications to be a Behavioral Direct Support Professional (DSP) Prior DSP or caregiving experience required Behavioral experience strongly preferred Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required by case) Eligible to work in the U.S. Ability to pass background checks and required DDD clearances Training & Support Behavior Support Plan (BSP) training provided Ongoing guidance from supervisors and clinicians Clear expectations — no guesswork Supportive, responsive management team Why This Role Is Different Clear behavioral plans — no improvising Clinical oversight and support Consistent cases with structure Competitive pay for behavioral DSP work Professional, well‑organized agency environment Schedule Flexible scheduling Daytime, evening, and/or weekend shifts may be available Hours based on case needs Apply Today If you have experience as a DSP, behavioral aide, caregiver, or support professional and are looking for structured behavioral work with strong support, we encourage you to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr Asg-Home-Care
