Department 34401 Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy - Nursing: 7N Surgery Orthopedics Position Details Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 24 Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work: 48‑bed Orthopedic Surgery Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit; most common procedures are Total Joint – knee, hip, shoulder replacement, spine, shoulder procedures, general medical patients Schedule Details / Additional Information: Part‑time nights – two 12‑hour shifts per week (7 pm–7 am); weekend and holiday requirements; sign‑on bonus available to applicants who have not received a sign‑on bonus from the company for another role within the past 24 months; relocation bonus available if current residency is outside the designated distance to the facility; new teammates at Atrium Health eligible for robust benefits packages and paid time off. Expectations (Qualifications) 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred; at least 6 months required to qualify outside of the New Grad residency program Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the RN practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association Key Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Use evidence‑based practice and clinical decision making; communicate compassionately and skillfully while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
