Radiology Support Assistant

The Radiology Support role involves clerical and administrative duties to maintain and retrieve radiology files and results. The position requires managing patient scheduling, collecting demographic and protocol-specific information, and performing receptionist tasks at the radiology desk and via telephone. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency are essential to support efficient radiology services. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and retrieve radiology files and results reports.
• Perform receptionist duties including answering phones and greeting patients.
• Schedule patients for radiology exams accurately and efficiently.
• Collect and complete all demographic and protocol-specific information necessary for scheduled exams.
• Manage data entry and maintain accurate records in radiology databases.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff regarding appointments and procedures.

• Minimum of 2 years clerical experience, preferably in healthcare settings.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
• Basic to intermediate word processing and database management skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Completion of business school or related training including computer courses.
• Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish or other languages.

• Variable shift work may be required.
• Work environment involves direct interaction with patients and healthcare providers.

• Variable shifts over a 15-week assignment period.
• Shift times and days may vary based on department needs.
