Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg ( Nights)

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med Surg for a 13-week travel assignment in Petoskey, MI.

Contract Details

• Nights, 12; 36 hours per week
  
• Start Date: 6/15/2026
  
• Contract: 13 weeks
  
• Location: Petoskey, MI
  
• Hourly Pay: $ 29.50
  
• Non-taxed Stipend: $1,246.00
  
• Weekly Total Pay: $2,042.50
  
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
  
• Traveler's Policy: Anyone with a permanent address within a 35 mile radius of facility is considered a local traveler.
  
• Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours
  

** Client has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.

** Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit, it would be in the traveler’s best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for the manager's review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Expertise: Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological, psychosocial, spiritual assessment consistent with patient/significant other’s changing needs & goals, utilizing the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and the “Caring-Quality Model.”
  
• Knowledge: Seeks life-long learning through certification, advanced practice, higher education, and literature review.
  
• Leadership/Credibility: Demonstrates leadership through sharing of knowledge, being a clinical resource, and professional role model.
  
• Communication: Demonstrates effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication.
  
• Productivity: Demonstrates enhanced time management skills and ability to assist others in order to contribute to the overall performance of the team.
  
• Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed by general and unit-specific competency-based objectives.
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2+ years of straight med surg. Not float, not SDU/TELE, etc.
  
• Must be straight RN MS
  
• Level II or I - Trauma level experience is required
  
• Traveler experience preferred
  
• BLS (AHA) is required
  
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  

Compliance/Screening (Pre-Start):

• Drug screen and background check (facility required)
