Position: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and experience to provide exceptional patient care. This is a travel position, and nurses will be required to float to other units as necessary.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Licensure: Valid California Registered Nurse License required
• Certifications: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Charge Nurse experience preferred

Clinical Skills

• Proficient in accessing and managing ports
• Arterial line management
• Assistance with chest tube insertion and removal
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Care for ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• Management of chronic and acute renal failure
• Continuous IV paralytics and sedation management
• Management of CVA and acute stroke patients
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
• Patient phlebotomy and procedural sedation administration/monitoring

Work Environment

• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 4-6 patients
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 on day and night shifts
• Possibility of floating to Emergency Room (ER) or Medical/Surgical units

Additional Information

This position requires compliance with specific onboarding protocols, including a work history verification spanning the last 7 years. Candidates should be prepared to provide accurate work history information and necessary documentation.

All candidates must complete lab work within 3-5 days after contract signing. Orientation includes training modules, which are non-billable, with an average completion time of 1-5 hours.
