Relief Veterinarian

As a Relief Veterinarian at PetIQ in Louisiana, you will provide care for pets without the pressures of a full-service veterinary environment. Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced veterinarian looking to advance veterinary care in your communities, contracting with us may be right for you. Essential Functions / Job Duties On-site veterinarian care for our weekday and weekend community clinics Perform brief medical exams, including vitals Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, and nail trims Educate pet parents on preventative healthcare and products Update electronic medical records Deliver and perform up to PetIQ medical standards and best practices Strengthen the PetIQ brand through quality service and client education Minimum Requirements Must be a licensed DVM in the state and looking to practice Liability insurance: $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate Ability to drive to a variety of locations Weekend availability Ability to use iPad or tablet devices Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
