Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee

Overview Technician Trainee – Auto Glass Technician. You will be trained in auto glass repair, replacement, and recalibration. Upon completion, you receive Safelite SafeTech certification and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities Pay to learn and apprentice the Safelite way through hands‑on and classroom training. Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass. Recalibrate automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostic testing. Provide additional services & products to customers. Study for and pass testing to become a Safelite‑certified Technician. Safely operate company vehicles, use company‑issued tools and chemicals. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards. Benefits & Compensation Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, increasing to $24.00/hour after training and certification. Earn $5 for each set of wiper blades added for customer safety. Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required to operate a company vehicle. Must be 18 years of age or older. Required Skills and Abilities Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body, and work outdoors in varied weather. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and motor vehicles safely. Knowledge of and ability to use computerized diagnostic tools for recalibration and troubleshooting. Strong customer service orientation and ability to exceed customer expectations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with problem‑solving skills. Effective communication in English, both written and oral. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and comply with dress code and PPE policies. Willingness to handle professional or personal pressure and maintain stable performance.
