Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using technology, therapeutic interventions and evidence‑based practice while coordinating with the health team. Scope of Responsibility Assess, recognize, and address patients’ psychological and physical needs. Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and families in mind. Communicate compassionately and effectively. Assist in developing individualized treatment plans. Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines. Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs. Participate in clinical team conferences. Follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications BLS/ACLS required upon hire. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. An ASN/ADN graduate must complete a BSN within four (4) years of hire unless an exemption applies. Failure to obtain the BSN may result in suspension or termination of employment. Certification Current RN license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS‑HCP) certification upon hire or within 60 days with prior approval. ACLS/NRP/PALS certification as appropriate for unit or service. Physical & Technical Requirements Read and interpret information, labels, patient needs, monitors, and equipment. Interact frequently with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, requiring quick and accurate verbal communication. Manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation. Lift, transfer, and carry patients and supplies, including heavy items, and bend to retrieve and transport equipment. Walk and assist in transporting patients, push and pull gurneys and portable equipment, and navigate crowded and busy rooms. Stand in a stationary position for extended periods as required. Work Location & Hours St. Marys Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado. Weekly hours: 36. Hourly rate $36.71 – $56.17, dependent on experience.
