Director of Community Education / District Grant Coordinator This position will serve as Inver Grove Heights Director of Community Education and the District Grant’s Coordinator. The Director of Community Education provides direction for the overall operation of the Community Education programs for Inver Grove Heights Schools. The Grants Coordinator plays a pivotal role in securing funding opportunities to support various programs, initiatives, and projects within the school district. Qualifications Education and Experience: Master’s degree and at least five years of experience in community education programs or related field. Familiarity and experience working with national, governmental and local funders (preferred). Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid license from the MN Department of Education as a Community Education Director. Required Knowledge and Skills: Ability to direct the development, implementation and evaluation of community education programs. Demonstrated supervisory, administrative, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Skills in working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with others. Superior ability to communicate both verbally and in written form for a variety of constituents. Ability to effectively present information to various constituents including the Board of Education. Proficient in problem solving, leadership, organization, public relations and team decision making. Ability to operate independently and effectively while following established procedures and protocols. Ability to anticipate and/or recognize problems and/or complications and to determine and implement practical corrective solutions to problems and issues. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills. Ability to assist and advise the superintendent of schools in planning and policy making processes affecting community education programs. Ability to gather, analyze and apply district data to improve community education programming. Intermediate to expert skills in Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.
