Job Title: Construction Safety Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Safety Manager to oversee multiple construction projects in the Dallas area. The primary focus will be a major ground-up build, supporting all trades and potentially overseeing several Project Engineers on site. The role involves ensuring complete regulatory compliance and minimizing workplace injuries through the development of comprehensive safety plans, daily site inspections, and leading safety training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety operations on site to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Minimize workplace injuries by developing comprehensive safety plans.

• Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards.

• Lead regular safety training and toolbox talks for field personnel.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety compliance.

• Foster a proactive safety culture across the entire project workforce.

Essential Skills

• 7-10 years of experience in construction safety.

• Experience in ground-up construction and working from heights.

• CHST/CSP certification.

• Field-oriented with experience working with trades.

• Autonomy and ability to work independently.

• Knowledge of commercial interiors and steel erection.

• OSHA 30 certification or higher.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with steel erection.

• Understanding of rules and regulations for trade partners.

• Knowledge of commercial interior projects.

Work Environment

The position requires working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM CST with minimal weekend expectations. The Safety Manager will be based out of an office trailer on site and may work on multiple projects simultaneously. The role involves overseeing a significant ground-up construction project of approximately 300,000 square feet and may involve overseeing 1-3 year Project Engineers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $76.92/hr.
