Sports Focused Remote Dietitian

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian with expertise in endurance sports nutrition, women's health, perimenopause and menopause, weight management, and general wellness. Experience counseling active women and recreational to competitive endurance athletes is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate has personal and/or professional experience working with endurance athletes, active women, and mothers navigating the demands of training, family life, and overall health. We are launching a program focused on this population and are seeking a practitioner who understands the unique challenges and opportunities they face.

While this position would serve to fill a need in our upcoming program, they would also be working one-on-one with other populations.

The ideal candidate has a background in one-on-one nutritional counseling and enjoys working with individuals on their health goals. This candidate should be eager and willing to learn, organized, attentive to detail, a good communicator, and feels confident in managing a caseload with autonomy.

This position would start as a part-time position, but has the likelihood of growing to full time if desired.

Where the job is performed:

This job is a remote part time position that would start at 15 hours a week and would grow. Your schedule will be flexible. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a Washington State Dietitian Certification prior to seeing clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for clients, considering medical history, lifestyle, and personal goals.
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans tailored to individual needs, preferences, and health conditions.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to educate clients about nutrition, portion control, and healthy eating habits.
• Monitor clients' progress and adjust nutrition plans as necessary to ensure ongoing success.
• Stay current with the latest research and trends in nutrition and dietetics.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Conduct workshops or group sessions on specific nutrition topics as needed.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to motivate clients toward their health goals.
• Present on various health topics to large groups or corporations.
• Discuss client’s exercise and other lifestyle habits necessary to help them achieve their goals.
• Create meal plans, coordinate and interpret results from metabolic tests, and body composition tests.
• Discuss payment of various packages with clients.
• Attend monthly group meetings as well as one-on-one meetings with manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Previous experience in a clinical or private practice setting is preferred.
• Must obtain a Washington State Dietetics License 
• Must have a reliable computer setup for virtual appointments.

Additional Information:

The position is a part time position (15-30 hours per week). You would be hired as a W2 employee. Your caseload will start at part-time and could grow to full-time if desired.
