Veterinary Technician - LVT/RVT/CVT | $28–$40/hr
Location: Yonkers, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
Compensation: $28–$40/hour + Weekend & Overnight Shift Differentials

Join Animal Specialty Center (ASC) as a full-time Veterinary Technician in Yonkers, NY. Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians work alongside board-certified specialists and experienced emergency veterinarians while providing advanced patient care in a leading specialty and emergency animal hospital.

We are hiring LVTs, RVTs, and CVTs for our Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Emergency departments. This is an opportunity to expand your skills, practice advanced veterinary medicine, and grow your career in a collaborative environment that values Veterinary Technician expertise.

Compensation

• Emergency Department
  • $28-$35/hour
• Internal Medicine
  • $30-$40/hour
• Surgery
  • $28-$38/hour

Shift Differentials:

• Weekend Differential (Saturday 12:00 AM – Sunday 11:59 PM)
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians: +$4/hour
  • Non-Licensed Team Members: +$2/hour
• Overnight Differential (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians: +$6/hour
  • Non-Licensed Team Members: +$3/hour
• Weekend and overnight differentials stack for additional earning potential

Schedule

• Emergency Department: Three 12-hour day shifts
• Surgery: Three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
• Internal Medicine : TBD

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to hospitalized and critical patients
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, and sample collection
• Obtain diagnostic imaging including radiographs
• Monitor and document patient status, treatments, and responses
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and advanced procedures
• Communicate effectively with clients and hospital team members
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

• Active CVT, LVT, or RVT credential (or eligibility for licensure) in New York State
• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician in specialty, emergency, or general practice preferred
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and laboratory procedures
• Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude with a commitment to patient care and professional growth
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
