POSITION: Human Resources Generalist REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer STATUS: Full-Time; Regular; Exempt COMPENSATION: Annual Salary $72,000-$77,000 depending on experience and certifications BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance; Employee Assistance Program; 403(b) Retirement Plan; Paid Holidays, Sick, and Vacation LOCATION: Sacramento, CA (this position may become eligible for 1 days of remote work after 6-months of satisfactory on-site performance) JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of Center by administering a wide range of HR programs and services. This position serves as a resource to employees and managers regarding recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, policy interpretation, compliance, training, and leave administration. The HR Generalist is responsible for executing human resources strategies in support of the Center's mission, vision, values, and culture while ensuring adherence to employment laws, organizational policies, and best practices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinate recruitment, hiring and onboarding Benefits & Leave Administration Training & Performance Management Employee & Labor Relations Human Resource Operations, Payroll & Compliance Administration Recruitment, Hiring, and Onboarding Coordinate recruitment activities including posting positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates. Assist hiring managers throughout the selection process. Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs. Maintain onboarding documentation and ensures compliance with employment eligibility requirements. Benefits & Leave Administration Support employee benefits administration, including healthcare and retirement plan enrollments, changes, annual open enrollment, termination and employee education Assist employees with benefit-related questions and concerns. Coordinate leave administration processes, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state leave programs and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee leave requests. Training & Performance Management Coordinate training programs, compliance training and professional development opportunities. Develop a system for tracking professional development and training activities, alignment with each employee’s professional development plan, and aggregate a monthly agency-level report for senior leaders. Track employee training records and certification requirements. Facilitate 90-day and annual performance review cycles, providing support and guidance to staff and leadership.
