General Production Worker

Join a dynamic team as a General Production Worker on either the 1st or 2nd shift. You will play a crucial role in the production process by standing by machines, loading and unloading parts, and verifying machinery operation.

Responsibilities:

• Stand by machines and load/unload parts in and out of fixtures.
• Verify that the chip conveyor is turned on.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Utilize cranes or team up with colleagues for lifting up to 85 lbs.

Essential Skills:

• 1 year of recent experience as a machine operator.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Good tenure at each job with consistent employment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with micrometers and calipers.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• General labor and inspection experience.
• Competency in machine operation and quality control.

Work Environment:

The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, extreme heat, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is typically loud, requiring adherence to safety rules and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eyewear, hearing protection, footwear, and protective clothing.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
