Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Property Coverage Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills and have a proactive and organized approach to handling property coverage matters. Duties Analyze insurance policies and claim materials. Draft coverage opinions and provide client recommendations. Prepare correspondence for colleagues and clients. Analyze documents for litigation purposes. Conduct legal research using Westlaw. Prepare and respond to written discovery. Draft pleadings and briefs. Conduct and defend depositions. Attend and advocate at hearings and mediations. Requirements Admitted to practice law; California bar admission strongly preferred. Experience in insurance coverage. Excellent academic credentials or solid work history. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills. Ability to handle highly sensitive matters. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in at least one U.S. state. Skills Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
