Order Processing Specialist

Duration: 6 Months Pay Rate: $36.68/hour on W2 (No Benefits) Schedule: 1st Shift Join Our Team! We're seeking a detail-oriented Order Processing Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring customer orders move seamlessly from order entry through production and delivery. In this role, you'll work closely with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, production schedules stay on track, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded. What You'll Do: Manage customer orders throughout the complete order fulfillment lifecycle. Review, validate, and maintain accurate order information within SAP and other business systems. Schedule customer orders based on production capacity, lead times, and customer requirements. Monitor order progress, milestones, and delivery commitments to ensure on-time execution. Coordinate engineering activities to support customer order requirements. Maintain accurate customer ship dates and proactively communicate scheduling updates. Utilize capacity planning tools to balance production workload and optimize plant resources. Prioritize daily order queues and resolve planning or scheduling issues before they impact delivery. Process customer order authorizations accurately and within established service levels. Coordinate customer complaint resolution with cross-functional teams and provide timely updates. Escalate scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, and order risks to appropriate stakeholders. Maintain complete and accurate documentation supporting customer orders and engineering activities. Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service to drive operational success. Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For: Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Preferred Experience & Skills: Experience in order management, production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. Hands-on experience with SAP ERP . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and order management. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Self-motivated with excellent time management and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
