Applications Engineer

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and technical experience.
• Entry-level candidates should have 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships, co-ops, laboratory work, and substantial engineering projects are welcome.
• Mid-level candidates must have at least three years of relevant applications, mechanical, manufacturing, automation, or customer-facing engineering experience.
• Experience with robotics, tooling, industrial sensors, PLCs, and control systems.
• Advanced skills in SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD platform.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and FEA.
• International team or customer experience is preferred.
• Ability to manage documentation and records, communicate across functions, solve problems hands-on, organize tests, analyze results, and document conclusions.
• Clear written and verbal communication, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams.

• Work with our sales and automation engineering teams to understand customer needs and identify suitable magnetic tooling solutions.
• Design and position magnetic tools and custom accessories in 3D CAD for automation applications.
• Apply knowledge of robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and sensors to support integration into customer production lines.
• Use AI and digital tools, including CoPilot, SharePoint workflows, and simulation analysis, to improve design processes and project efficiency.
• Set up and assess FEA simulations to evaluate magnet performance in customer environments.
• Create and maintain bills of materials in our ERP system.
• Produce 2D fabrication drawings and dimensional overlays.
• Document technical work and prepare milestone reports throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with international teams and support global projects as needed.
