Compensation Range: $70,475- $98,665. This salary range reflects full-time, 12-month assignments. Salary offers for part-time roles or assignments of less than 12 months will be prorated based on the assignment scope and duration.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Warehouse/Distribution Manager's job is done for the purpose/s of performing warehousing duties of loading and unloading orders, stocking inventory and maintaining the warehouse; transporting orders of equipment, materials and supplies; supervising the warehouse and warehouse employees; and ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse workers, Distribution Drivers and Helpers, Shipping and Receiving.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.
2. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities to enhance the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
4. Cleans warehouse for the purpose of maintaining an organized layout and safe work environment.
5. Conducts physical annual inventories and periodic inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
6. Directs movement of materials as requested by District of the purpose of delivering services in compliance with District objectives.
7. Identifies equipment, supplies and materials to be procured for warehouse operations for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items that allow for addressing workload requirements efficiently and in a timely manner.
8. Inspects warehouse equipment, and other District equipment, for the purpose of maintaining equipment in a safe operating condition.
9. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
10. Monitors warehouse operations for the purpose of ensuring that processes are followed; expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed.
11. Oversees delivery and movement of all mail (U.S. and District) between District sites and U.S. Post Office for the purpose of disseminating material as appropriate.
12. Prepares a wide variety of written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
13. Recommends movement and/or disposal of moveable equipment or supplies for the purpose of removing obsolete or deteriorating materials.
14. Responds to a variety of calls, concerns and/or complaints for the purpose of resolving problems and providing information.
15. Schedules deliveries for the purpose of ensuring timely delivery of items.
16. Stocks equipment, materials and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels that will ensure availability of items when requested.
17. Supervises warehouse personnel (e.g. interviews, screens, schedules, evaluates, trains, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel, and achieving objectives within budget.
18. Point of contact for local non for profits that provide essential items to families in need for the purpose of coordinating the pick-up of the items and delivery to the list of District locations. (Example: Backpack Buddies from Northern Illinois Food Bank and Books from United Way)
19. Prepare District assets that have been identified for auction for the purpose of providing detailed information, photos and any documentation that will promote quick sale and removal of said District assets.

4. Knowledge is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.
5. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes modern warehousing and supply systems; materials handling and storage; receiving, inspecting and follow up; materials distribution; budget preparation; and personnel policies and practices.

WORK CALENDAR: 12 Months

WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
