SVP Technology Transformation & Platforms

The SVP, Technology Transformation & Platforms will architect and lead the end‑to‑end transformation of MGA’s technology organization, shifting the company from a legacy, system‑centric IT model to a modern, capability‑driven technology engine. This role owns the build‑out of MGA’s “Change the Business” capabilities, including Consumer Technology, Enterprise Technology, and Shared Platforms (data, integrations, architecture, and AI). The mandate is to enable faster execution, unlock new digital and operational capabilities, and materially reduce dependence on legacy systems—without disrupting the current operating environment. This SVP will establish and enforce a clear separation between Core IT (Run the Business) and Technology (Change the Business) , ensuring that innovation is no longer constrained by legacy systems or outdated operating models. This is a transformation role with direct accountability for delivering measurable business outcomes—speed, efficiency, scalability, and long‑term cost reduction. Key Responsibilities Build & Lead the Technology Organization Stand up and scale MGA’s Technology function across: Consumer Technology (DTC, eCommerce, digital products) Enterprise Technology (automation, supply chain, internal systems) Shared Platforms (data, APIs, architecture, AI) Define org structure, hiring plan, and operating model for the new Technology function Recruit and lead high‑caliber product, engineering, and platform teams Establish modern product development and platform engineering practices Build scalable foundations that accelerate innovation across the company Define and enforce clear separation between: Core IT (Run) – ERP, infrastructure, support, security, and operational continuity Technology (Build) – all new capabilities and systems Eliminate IT as a bottleneck by shifting ownership of build capabilities into Technology Establish clear decision rights, governance, and accountability across both organizations Drive Execution & Delivery Own delivery of technology initiatives across digital, data, and operational domains Replace fragmented ownership with end‑to‑end accountability Ensure initiatives move from concept to production quickly and predictably, with minimal rework Build repeatable delivery frameworks (product, platform, engineering standards) Lead Modernization & Capability Build Reduce dependency on ERP‑driven processes and manual workarounds Build scalable capabilities across: Workflow automation and digitization Data and analytics platforms API and integration architecture Define long‑term architecture aligned to scalability, flexibility, and cost efficiency Business Integration & Impact Partner with Operations, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams Align technology roadmap to business priorities (growth, margin, efficiency) Ensure technology is a driver of business outcomes—not a support function Transformation Execution & Change Management Lead phased transformation over a 18–36 month horizon with no operational disruption Migrate capabilities from IT into the Technology organization in a controlled manner Manage stakeholder alignment, communication, and organizational change Proactively address resistance, capability gaps, and execution risks Platform, Data & AI Foundation Establish MGA’s data, integration, and architecture strategy Build scalable foundations for AI, automation, and advanced analytics Ensure systems are interoperable, reusable, and future‑ready Experience & Qualifications 15+ years in technology leadership across product, engineering, or digital transformation Proven experience building and scaling modern technology organizations from the ground up Track record of leading large‑scale transformation in legacy environments Strong experience across: Digital / consumer platforms (DTC, eCommerce, apps) Enterprise systems and process automation Data, analytics, and platform architecture AI enablement and modern architecture APIs and integration ecosystemsDemonstrated ability to deliver working solutions—not just define strategy Comfortable operating across both executive strategy and hands‑on execution Leadership Profile Builder: Creates organizations, platforms, and capabilities from scratch—without a playbook Operator: Delivers with speed, discipline, and accountability.
