Responsibilities

Heritage Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) work with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals in the patients place of residence. In addition to performing visits and completing coordination of care, the CNA is the point of contact for all disciplines involved with providing care to the patients. The CNA follows agency, state, and federal policies and procedures. The CNA will consult with the patients primary care physician, collect OASIS information (Home Health only), ensure medication profiles are accurate, and attend meetings as required.

CNAs must meet the following requirements:

• Be currently licensed/certified as a CNA in the state of Idaho
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred but not required
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in CNA practice
• CPR (BLS) professional certification
• General knowledge of computers and the ability to learn industry-specific software and documentation applications
• Possess a valid state drivers license and automobile liability insurance
