Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – High School & Transition Location: Newark, DE School Setting: Specialized Autism Program Schedule: Full-time | 35 hours/week | 8:20 AM–4:00 PM Dates: August 18, 2026 – June 15, 2027 Pay: $65,000–$80,000 Make a Meaningful Impact with Students with Autism We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a specialized high school and transition program serving students with autism and complex communication needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who is passionate about supporting students with significant needs and wants to make a meaningful impact in a highly supportive school environment. The program serves students who require a higher level of support than may be available in a traditional school setting. You’ll work with high school and transition-aged students while collaborating closely with educators and other members of the school team. What You’ll Do Provide speech-language therapy to high school and transition-aged students Support students with complex communication needs and autism Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEP goals Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring Utilize AAC and other communication strategies to support functional communication Manage an anticipated caseload of approximately 20–25 students , with many students receiving a higher frequency of services Maintain appropriate documentation and meet all school and professional requirements Why This Opportunity Stands Out Smaller caseload: Approximately 20–25 students Specialized setting: Work with students with complex autism and communication needs AAC experience encouraged: Great opportunity to expand or utilize your AAC skills Workload model: Caseloads are balanced based on student needs and overall workload Collaborative environment: Work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team 35-hour workweek: Consistent school-based schedule Professional support: Participate in professional development, team meetings, and receive access to necessary materials and technology School-year schedule: Enjoy school breaks and summer off Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Delaware SLP license or able to obtain ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required for licensed SLPs who have completed their CF Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply!
