Additional Requirements

• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
• This is a full time position. Contractors assigned to a Compressed Work Week (CWW) schedules, designated A or C, work a 12-hour shift, either three or four days per week depending on the shift rotation. The CWW shift begins at 5:45 AM and ends at 6:15 PM each scheduled day.
• A Shift (Day): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday
• C Shift (Day): Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday

Job Summary

We are seeking a Chemical Offloader to join our 24/7 Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely receiving, transferring, and maintaining bulk and day-use chemical systems to ensure reliable and efficient facility operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of mechanical systems, chemical handling, and operational procedures.

Job Description

• Safely performs offloads of tanker trucks of chemical into the UPW and IWT Bulk Chemical systems.
• Utilizes pumps to transfer chemicals from drums to day tanks.
• Utilizes fork truck and pallet jacks to safely offload trucks containing drums of chemicals for the UPW system.
• Performs general housekeeping duties, maintains a clean, safe and compliant work area. Comply with all prescribed safety procedures and regulations. Report on all incidents and accidents. Works safely and wears appropriate PPE for task.
• Have the ability to support other operations when there’s a need.
• Moves material within the facility using appropriate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet trucks, forklifts, golf cart, etc.
• Conducts daily inspections of unloading areas and incoming/outgoing trucks to ensure operational success with bulk chemical deliveries.
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Skills Required

• Experience working with forklifts is preferred
• Understanding of chemical process
• Aptitude for mechanics.
• Basic computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.

Physical Demands

• Work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals
• Able to work in Gortex Suit for body splash protection (Ty-Chem can be worn if Gortex is not available), rubber boots or boot covers, orange chemical-rated gloves, and a full face respirator (with high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter) for face splash protection.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Able to stand and/or walk for 10+ hrs daily, able to climb stairs and ladders
• May perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and may sometimes have to twist and bend body
• Vision – May be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lights
• Able to discern audible alarms
• Ability to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• More education or experience in a related field may be required.
