Overview Job duties and requirements for a delivery and in-store role encompassing operation of equipment, stock management, product preparation, order processing, and general store duties. Training provided on the job. Responsibilities Operate equipment and stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, and walk-in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Deliver product by car and to the door of the customer. Deliver flyers and doorhangers or other marketing materials. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Process orders verbally or in writing and by telephone as part of customer service. Training and Communication Training: Orientation and training provided on the job. Communication skills: Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person. Essential Functions and Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Enter orders and operate computer or touch screen systems. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to perform precise movements with speed. Work Conditions and Sensing Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees to 90 degrees and above. Sudden changes in temperature. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to commercial dust. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Sensing: Talking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Temperament and Behavioral Expectations Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet exact quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions. Physical Demands Standing: Most tasks are performed while standing. Walking on ceramic tile with linoleum in some areas. Work surface heights generally between 36" and 48". Walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, squatting, reaching, hand tasks. Lifting: Deliveries may include cases up to 60 pounds; trays and items weights vary as described in the original content. Specific example weights (e.g., 30 pounds for pizza sauce) included for reference. Equipment and Tools Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter and pizza peel. Qualifications Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards. Access to insured vehicle for delivery. Essentials: Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area. Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites while carrying product. Delivery and Work Schedule Deliver product within a designated delivery area. May make several deliveries per shift. Walking between store, delivery vehicle, and customer location as part of duties.
