Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Base pay range$55.00/hr - $75.00/hrAbout The RoleOn Duty Health is seeking a part-time, as needed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support our growing team. This role requires current residence and licensure in Texas, and the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time. Additional licensure in CA, IA, MO, CO, or TN is a plus. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility and is available to provide coverage as needed. If you are seeking full-time hours or do not have a flexible schedule, this role will not be a fit. On Duty Health provides on location occupational health assessments for firefighters across Texas and occasionally out of state.Preferred BackgroundExperience in Occupational Medicine is ideal, though providers with backgrounds in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesConducting Standard Comprehensive ExamsDetailed history taking (medications, supplements, allergies, medical/surgical history, family history, social history)Vision testingAudiometry testingObtaining and interpreting vitals (temperature, manual BP, pulse, respiration)Reviewing and discussing lab results and chest XraysResting and stress test EKG interpretationReviewing results from Exercise Physiologists and SonographersMental health questionnaires and verbal assessmentsDeveloping assessments, plans, and goalsLocation & ScheduleMost appointments occur in the DFW area, with travel throughout Texas and occasional out of state assignments.Expect to see 912 clients per day, with approximately 45 minutes per appointment.Who We're Looking ForA provider with strong clinical knowledge, confidence in performing the above assessments, and a warm, professional bedside manner.
