Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver essential patient care in a dynamic cardiovascular stepdown environment as a Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity calls for skilled professionals with experience in stepdown and cardiac specialties, ready to make a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Previous experience in stepdown or intermediate care settings
• Prior exposure to cardiac stepdown units, with emphasis on cardiovascular patient monitoring
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in managing unstable cardiac patients and responding to emergent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events or procedures in the cardiovascular stepdown unit
• Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac telemetry, and hemodynamic status
• Administer medications and implement physician orders with meticulous attention to detail
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and adjust individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education on condition management and post-discharge care
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses
• Uphold high standards of safety and infection control within the unit
