Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Authors non destructive test (NDT) procedures for commercial and defense aircraft.

• Incorporates revisions authored by method Responsible Level III in the standard procedure review process.

• Develops Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) of specialized calibration standards.

• Performs setup for non destructive test or measurement equipment to calibration standards.

• Composes procedure figures providing information on inspection location, geometry, accessibility, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal response.

• Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.

• Supports commercial and defense aircraft including 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, KC 46, and B 1B.

• Works with ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current testing (ET), and radiographic testing (RT) methods.

• Supports advanced NDT methods including Phased Array UT, Shear wave UT, and Eddy Current Array.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 3+ years of education and work experience in NDI or NDT.

• Current or previous work experience performing at a Level II NDT technician capacity in ET, UT, or RT methods.

• Can provide documentation of certified NDT hours.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

• Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends as necessary.

• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

• Ability to work in confined spaces.

• Preferred: NAS 410 or equivalent Level II certification in ET and UT or RT.

• Preferred: 1200 hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) with 400+ hours of Ultrasonic Shear-Wave Testing, 1200 hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET) with 400+ hours of LFEC, and 1200 hours of Radiographic Testing (RT).
