Behavior Health Counselor (MSW)

Behavioral Health Counselor J essie Trice Community Health System is seeking a Counselor that is responsible for providing all social work services as mandated under the School Health Program. Social work services will follow the guidance of Miami-Dade County Public School (M-DCPS) for Social Workers, Children’s Trust Guidelines and include behavioral health screening, assessment, and counseling services for students at risk for developmental and behavioral issues. Assists with screening for Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and attend staffing meetings for students being considered for the ESE programs. Performs assessments such as psychosocial/developmental history, adaptive behavioral measurements, and classroom observation. Education details Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited learning institution. Minimum one year pediatric /adolescent experience. Must be able to be Credentialed as Provider for Medicare/Medicaid and other insurances. Deemed competent by agency training.
