Part-Time Passenger Van Driver – Adults with Disabilities
Location: Tulare, CA
Pay: $18.00 per hour for hours worked, plus one additional hour paid at $16.90 between shifts
Brightside Transport is hiring a part-time driver to transport individuals with disabilities to and from their day or work programs. We’re looking for someone dependable, patient, and kind.
Schedule: Monday through Friday split shift. Most routes run approximately 6:45–9:15 a.m. and 1:30–3:30 p.m. Route times may vary. This is part-time Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes safely and arrive on time.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed (some vehicles have aides).
- Treat passengers with kindness and respect.
- Follow route instructions, communicate concerns, and complete trip records.
- Keep the vehicle clean.
Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years old due to commercial auto insurance requirements.
- Clean driving record with no tickets or accidents.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Availability for both the morning and afternoon shifts.
- Experience with delivery driving, shuttle, vans, Uber, Lyft, or similar work is helpful.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, working at a day program, or providing in-home care is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred; training is available.
