QC Associate - Global Cell Therapy Raw Materials

AstraZeneca seeks a QC Associate to perform GMP analytical testing of raw materials for cell therapy manufacturing. The role involves routine chemical and physical analyses, laboratory maintenance, accurate documentation, and support for material qualification and testing activities at the Rockville, Maryland facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine raw-material testing using approved methods and specifications
- Complete testing accurately and within agreed timelines to support manufacturing schedules
- Review test results and escalate atypical findings, deviations, and data-integrity concerns
- Maintain laboratory safety, cleanliness, equipment, reagents, standards, and inventory
- Support method transfer, qualification, validation, and deviation investigation activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or related field
- 2+ years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree with any experience
- Experience with analytical techniques such as pH, FTIR/Raman, HPLC, ELISA, or cell-based assays
- Working knowledge of cGMP, good documentation practices, and data integrity requirements
- Awareness of compendial standards including USP and EP
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures accurately and escalate issues appropriately
Compensation: $55,920.80–$83,881.20 base annual
