Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-time and Full-time Dental Hygienist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and document vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse, as necessary.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in patient records.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry, providing care tailored to younger patients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to enhance patient care.
Skills
- Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
- Familiarity with documentation review processes in a clinical setting.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
