ArcGIS Consultant

Location: Houston, TX (Day 1 Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Experience Level: Mid-Senior Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled ArcGIS Consultant to join our team in Houston, TX , with the expectation of being onsite from Day 1 . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GIS data administration , GIS server administration , and ArcGIS Enterprise implementation and support. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Server environments. Manage GIS data including integration, validation, transformation, and quality assurance. Implement GIS standards, procedures, and workflows to ensure data integrity and consistency. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to GIS systems and services. Support system performance tuning, patching, and upgrades. Work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver GIS-based solutions and support ongoing projects. Maintain technical documentation for configurations, workflows, and best practices. Required Skills: 9+ years of hands‑on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Server administration. Strong experience in GIS data administration and spatial database management. Proficiency with Esri tools including Portal for ArcGIS , ArcGIS Desktop/Pro , and ArcGIS Online . Familiarity with enterprise geodatabases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL with Esri SDE). Strong troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and system integration skills. Nice to Have: Experience with scripting and automation using Python or ArcPy . Knowledge of web GIS , REST API , and geospatial web services . Experience with cloud-based GIS infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure). Familiarity with enterprise IT security and architecture concepts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
