Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of clinical nursing experience License: Active RN license required Certifications: BCLS and IV certification required Must-Have: - Strong communication skills - Critical thinking skills - Multitasking skills - EPIC EMR experience preferred Description: The Progressive Care Unit provides care to patients with varying degrees of medical needs. Registered Nurses will be responsible for starting and managing IVs. Administering medications safely is a key responsibility. Monitoring vital signs and patient responses will be essential duties. Educating patients on treatments and self-care is a priority. Collaboration with the care team on patient plans is necessary. Floating to lower acuity units may be required as needed. Following hospital policies and maintaining patient safety is mandatory. Candidates must be able to adapt to various clinical scenarios and patient conditions. Experience with chest tubes, dysrhythmias, and line management is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have experience in a mixed medical-surgical sub-acute patient care environment. Candidates should be prepared to handle diverse patient diagnoses including general medical issues and behavioral concerns. Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential for effective patient care.
