Position Summary

The Fresh Fruit Production Associate is responsible for preparing and handling fresh fruit products in a cold-temperature production environment. This position performs fruit washing, peeling, cutting, staging, and general sanitation duties while maintaining company standards for food safety, quality, cleanliness, and workplace safety.

The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while standing and walking for the majority of the shift.

No machinery operation is required. Training will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wash, prep, peel, and cut fresh fruit according to company standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of production and staging areas.

• Keep raw product storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.

• Remove empty boxes, trash, and other debris promptly.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety procedures.

• Properly use company-provided PPE, including cut-resistant gloves.

• Report incidents, accidents, injuries, hazards, or safety concerns immediately to management.

• Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals.

• Complete assigned tasks efficiently, accurately, and safely.

• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.

• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• Cold-temperature food production environment.

• Fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

• Standing and walking for the majority of the shift.

• Frequent use of hands for washing, peeling, cutting, and handling fresh fruit.

• Must be comfortable working in a refrigerated/cold environment.

Equipment Used

• Fruit peelers.

• Small paring knives.

• Cut-resistant gloves and other company-provided PPE.

No machinery operation is required for this position. Training will be provided.

Food Safety & Personal Appearance Requirements

Due to food safety requirements, employees in this position must comply with the following:

• No artificial nails.

• No artificial eyelashes.

• No jewelry while working, except for a plain wedding band without stones.

• Follow all applicable personal hygiene and food safety requirements.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Repeatedly use hands and wrists for food preparation tasks.

• Bend, reach, and move throughout the production area.

• Lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.

• Work safely in a cold-temperature environment.

• Perform repetitive cutting, peeling, washing, and handling tasks.
