Shift Leader Position at Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Are you passionate about making delicious hand formed burgers and fresh cut fries in a fun, fast-paced environment? Do you thrive in a dynamic team setting where quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities?

Apply today for the role of Shift Leader at Five Guys. It's been a favorite since 1986. Shift Leaders are expected to provide excellent customer service and prepare great food for our guests while maintaining a clean and organized restaurant.

As well as being proficient in all areas of the restaurant, the Shift Leader is also responsible for but to limited to:

  • Ensuring proper quality (Quality Control or QC) of food and service
  • Ensuring the practice of proper food safety and handling by the team
  • Communication with the team in an efficient and proper manner
  • Identifying and dealing with current and potential problems
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness during both peak and non-peak hours of business
  • Proper delegation of tasks pertaining to all of the above
  • Being full aware of how Secret Shops, Health Inspections, and Steritech are conducted
  • Cash management/handling
  • Shift management (overseeing a crew of up to 10 team members)
