NextGen Hospitality Solutions is excited to announce an opening for a Kitchen Manager in Baton Rouge. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for individuals looking to thrive in the restaurant industry without the hassle of late-night shifts. As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards of quality and efficiency. You will lead a team of culinary professionals, manage inventory, and implement best practices that promote a positive and productive work environment. Your role is crucial in maintaining our reputation for excellence while working towards our company’s goals.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 annually, along with benefits that support your professional growth and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and staff management
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies
- Develop and implement menus in collaboration with the culinary team
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance skills and efficiency
- Monitor kitchen compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Foster a positive work environment and strong team dynamics
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to develop and implement effective kitchen procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred
