Parts Clerk - Cashier 1 Department: Machine Division (MAC) Employment Type: Full Time Location: Little Elm Reporting To: Tracy Brockette Description Holt CAT in Little Elm, Texas is looking for a Cashier/Parts Clerk 1. This position is responsible for communicating with customers and employees in a positive, caring manner to enhance customer relations while maintaining accurate, efficient processing of all parts transactions. This position will also assist in warehouse inventory operations. Must be willing to use a forklift. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm. Essential Functions Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission. Assists customers by accepting and processing cash and credit card payments generated by the parts and service departments. Customer action pending report completed and evaluated Maintains petty cash account and submits cash daily to Accounting with the account in balance and with supporting paperwork. Coordinates all orders and corresponding location tags from printers. Prioritizes orders from printers. Prioritizes orders for processing by warehouse staff. Performs document maintenance using proper CDIS procedures as needed by evaluating customer action pending report on a weekly basis for freight charges, notes, P.O.’s document release, etc. Compiles customer tax exempt files to ensure proper documentation of records. Processes, completes, and submits the end of day closeout report to the Accounting department. Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Performs other duties assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be familiar in dealing with credit card charge machines and dealing with cash transactions Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrate reliable phone and people skills Ability to utilize computers including software systems for parts management Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate excellent attention to detail Must be self-motivated with a high commitment to completing tasks in a timely manner Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to work independently Requirements Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required Up to 2 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred; Parts store experience and/or customer service experience is highly desired Must be able to obtain forklift certification Supervisory Responsibilities: None Travel: Up to 5% travel may be expected Physical Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty and responsibility at a high level; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform job duties and responsibilities This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office equipment and files, etc. This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.
