Purchasing Coordinator

Joining a dynamic team, the full-time hourly Purchasing Coordinator will provide purchasing assistance during various project stages while working remotely, focusing on verifying requisitions, managing purchase orders, and negotiating costs with vendors. Key responsibilities Verifies purchase requisitions and recommends alternatives based on cost or lead time issues Prepares and issues purchase orders while managing online databases of materials ordered, received, and delivered Obtains quotes and negotiates costs with vendors to meet margin goals and tracks orders to ensure consistency with commitment dates Required qualifications High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience Minimum of 2+ years of previous experience in a purchasing environment Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
