This position has regular contact with or control over Indian Children and Vulnerable Adults. In compliance with Federal Law, this position will not be filled by an applicant with any felonious offense or any of two or more misdemeanor offenses under Federal, State, or Tribal law involving crimes of violence; sexual assault, molestation, exploitation, contact, or prostitution; crimes against persons; or offenses committed against children

The Case Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality case management services in accordance with the SPIPA Workforce Development (WFD) Policies and Procedures Manual and industry best practices. Key responsibilities include developing and managing Individual Success Plans (ISPs), assessing client needs, tracking progress, and providing guidance to help clients achieve economic self-sufficiency.

This role requires maintaining confidentiality, ensuring the accuracy and security of records, and fostering positive relationships with employees, customers, and community members. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional customer service, are essential. Regular attendance is required, and occasional evening or weekend hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines. A professional, well-groomed appearance is expected at all times.

The following duties are representative of the responsibilities assigned to this position. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

• Collaborate with other Case Managers and Intake staff to ensure consistent coverage and high-quality customer support for both new and existing clients.
• Develop, coordinate, and manage Individual Success Plans (ISPs) that align with clients' aptitudes, educational backgrounds, physical abilities, and career goals.
• Conduct client assessments and implement case management best practices to support clients' progress toward economic self-sufficiency.
• Monitor, document, and evaluate client progress, ensuring goals and objectives are met in accordance with program requirements.
• Hold monthly meetings with assigned clients to provide guidance, track compliance with Workforce Development (WFD) objectives, and offer ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management files in the database, ensuring daily documentation of client interactions and progress.
• Adhere to and uphold case management standards as outlined in the WFD Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Provide high-quality customer service, including effective conflict resolution and problem-solving support.
• Assist clients in completing all required WFD documentation, including forms related to barrier removal and program eligibility.
• Attend and actively participate in all scheduled case management and site staff meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations and client success.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Education, Business Administration, Social Work, or related field is preferred with 1 year experience in case management and providing employment services to clients, OR Associate degree in human services Field plus 3 years of experience in case management and providing employment services to clients, OR High school diploma plus 5 years' experience in case management and providing employment services to clients.
• Must be familiar with WFD Programs.
• 1 (one) year experience working in a Native American community.
• Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the minimum requirements established by Nisqually Indian Tribes vehicle insurance provider.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting.

• Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, traditions, and ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
• Experience working with Federally Recognized Tribes.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to the WFD Site Manager.

Knowledge:

• Understanding of best practices in case management, including client assessment, goal setting, and progress monitoring.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Workforce Development (WFD) guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Familiarity with resources and programs that assist clients in overcoming employment and educational barriers.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to client confidentiality and record-keeping.
• Awareness of available tribal, state, and federal programs that support economic self-sufficiency.

Skills:

• Ability to develop and implement Individual Success Plans (ISPs) tailored to client needs.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and updated client case files in electronic databases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client interactions, collaboration with staff, and reporting.
• Ability to address client challenges and resolve conflicts professionally and efficiently.
• Ability to provide respectful, culturally sensitive, and high-quality customer service.
• Capacity to handle multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines and compliance requirements.

• Function both independently in managing caseloads and as part of a team for coordinated client support.
• Adjust case management strategies based on client needs, policy updates, and organizational priorities.

• Background Check :
  I authorize Nisqually Indian Tribe or its designated third-party agency to conduct a background investigation, which may include verification of past employment, education, criminal history, and other relevant records.

• Drug Screening :
  I understand that I will be required to undergo a drug screening test as a condition of employment (or engagement). A positive result, refusal to test, or tampering with the test may result in disqualification or termination of employment.
