Director of Individual Giving

Description

Position Overview: The Director of Individual Giving will work with the Senior Director of Development and the Development Department to develop and implement key fundraising strategies for PAMM's major gifts program, annual fundraising events, and special projects and initiatives. The Director of Major Gifts manages the Senior Manager of Individual Giving and Membership and the Individual Giving Manager, Affiliate Groups.

Requirements

Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree/4-Year Degree

Qualifications:

• ? Bachelor's liberal arts degree, preferably in art history, museum studies, or business.
• Three to five years of experience
• Proven track record in fund development, including major gifts and donor cultivation.
• Ability to work with trustees and major donors to cultivate giving and involvement.
• Computer proficiency (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Altru preferred).
• Attention to detail, excellent writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A graduate degree in art history, business or marketing highly desirable.
• Experience preferably in the art museum or non-profit setting.

Physical Demands :

• Walk, bend, lift (up to 15 pounds) files, office supplies, and electronic equipment.

• Finger dexterity to pick up paper and use computer keyboard.
• Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
• Ability to hear in normal tones including telephone and face-to-face conversation.
