As a Security Officer - Full Time in Mount Vernon, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic automotive location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control and badge activity, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and/or following visitor management protocols at an automotive manufacturing or distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor gates, entrances, badge activity, and delivery traffic to help support authorized access, report irregularities, and/or follow post orders related to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with supervisors, employees, visitors, and/or contractors regarding post procedures and site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
