We are excited to announce an opening for a Non-invasive Cardiologist at our facility located at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. This hospital, situated at the intersection of First Avenue and 97th Street in Manhattan, serves a diverse community with over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits, and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions each year. Our institution has a strong academic partnership with a prominent medical college.

Opportunity Overview:

• Conduct nuclear stress tests, EKG stress tests, echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), EKGs, and various Holter monitor assessments.
• Provide clinical care as a ‘Direct Panel Attending’ from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM.
• Supervise and mentor medical residents.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with on-call duties approximately every second to third week, covering Monday through Sunday.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Echocardiography.
• Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology.
• Current New York State medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: $340,000* (for board eligible); $350,000* (for board certified), based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation is available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• Total Compensation Package: Estimated annual value of $469,520** (board eligible) and $480,520** (board certified), which includes base salary, 401(k) contributions, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
• Estimated additional compensation for 10 extra sessional/per diem hours per week is $55,520.
• Potential bonus of up to $40,000 based on quality and productivity metrics from the previous year.
• 401(k) Contributions: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required. After one year, an additional 7% contribution is provided, also with no match required.
• Annual reimbursement for Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.
• Comprehensive medical, prescription, and dental coverage with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage equal to twice your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to you.

• This position is eligible for the High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program (HNSLRP) for qualifying physicians.
