Controller (onsite)

LHH is partnering with a fast-growing, operations-driven services company to hire a hands-on Controller for a profitable local business unit with aggressive growth plans. Why This Role Full ownership of a local P&L Direct partnership with operational leadership Fast close + real time for analysis (not just reporting) Proven track record of Controllers being promoted quickly Stable business with ambitious growth targets What You’ll Be Doing Lead all accounting activities for the business unit (GL, close, job costing, AR/AP, payroll oversight) Drive a fast monthly close and deliver actionable insights Partner closely with operations to improve margins and performance Dig into what actually drives the business—costs, inventory, labor, process Present financial results clearly to leadership and large internal groups Identify issues, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions This is not a back-office role—you’ll be visible, engaged, and involved across the organization. What We’re Looking For BS in Accounting or Finance 8+ years of accounting/finance experience 3-5+ years leading teams Experience in services, construction, or operational environments is a plus Strong business partner mindset Comfortable in fast-paced, high-accountability environments Base Salary: $155-170K + annual incentive HSA available 401(k) with company match PTO starting at two weeks (flexibility for the right hire) If you’re a Controller who wants more ownership, more influence, and a clear growth path , this is worth a conversation.
