Description
US Heart and Vascular is needing a Director, Clinical Operations - Radiology Technology to join our team in the Dallas / Fort Worth TX area.
Position Summary
Manages implementation of the Company's policies regarding radiologic imaging programs including cardiac nuclear, PET and CT. Provides general oversight and supervision to all nuclear labs and radiology components of imaging centers according to established policies and procedures. Oversees and coordinates radiology technical staff and contract coverage for scheduling, training, and certification adherence. Serves as Technical Director for the company as defined by Radiology Accreditation Board Commission for Nuclear and CT certifications.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Performs all facility duties delegated by the Clinic leadership and Technical Services.
- Coordinates staffing coverage for radiology testing services at all clinic locations and imaging centers.
- Participates in interviewing and hiring technical staff.
- Manages radiology technical staff and/or the ancillary staff to include but not limited to performance reviews and pay rate change recommendations, partnership with clinic managers, HR and Technical Operations Director regarding employee issues, employee mentorship and coaching, time and attendance management, and employee relations.
- Provides and/or coordinates training to newly hired radiology technologists as needed.
- Works with contracted mobile nuclear company(s) to coordinate clinic testing coverage and ensure company & regulatory policies are being followed.
- Assists clinics in proper regulation record keeping and maintenance of state radioactive materials (RAM) licensing.
- Delegates, when warranted, specific responsibilities to the radiology of technical staff and/or the ancillary staff.
- Participates in ensuring all Intersocietal Accreditation Commission of Nuclear and CT Lab requirements are met and maintained.
- Updates medical and technical staff for professional demographics and CMEs.
- Updates policies and procedures, protocols, etc. as necessary to meet changes in Accreditation Commission requirements.
- Updates medical and technical staff on all Accreditation Commission changes.
- Organizes and prepares Accreditation Commission applications to maintain compliance.
- Coordinates the gathering of correlation data for quarterly quality assurance meetings and report findings to the Medical Director.
- Maintains appropriate logs, files, and records.
- Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policy and procedures to solve specific operating problems and improve patient care.
- Works with the Medical Director, medical staff, and technical staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Provides troubleshooting and coordinates repairs for all radiology testing equipment including but not limited to imaging cameras, heart gating systems, treadmills, dose calibrators and Geiger counters.
- Provides excellent customer service and the highest quality patient care.
- Follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines.
- Maintains current certification and/or licensure as required by the job.
- At all times protects the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) of patients per HIPAA regulations; including does not review his/her own record, or records of employees or co-workers without a "need to know".
- Maintains a safe workplace by following established safety protocols, reporting hazards, and participating in required safety training.
- When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Fosters a team-oriented environment by encouraging cooperation, providing support, and resolving conflicts constructively.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to the area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories relevant to the assigned functional area.
- Skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a satisfactory work product.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.

- Working knowledge of Office 365 programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Working knowledge of EMR systems.
Requirements:
- Associate in applied science.
- Three (3) years of cardiovascular screening experience.
- Three (3) years of management experience.
- Current ARRT credentials in Nuclear Medicine (NM) and Computed Tomography (CT) are required.
- Current basic life insurance (BLS) certification.
- If the individual in the role will drive for work purposes, a current valid state driver's license and required minimum auto insurance coverage.
- Cardiology practice experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Experience with Private Equity organizations preferred but not required.
