Senior Project Manager

Join AZAD as a Project Manager and provide project management services to the Work Planning & Delivery organization. This position will work directly with the migration manager on a Control Center Project. The project addresses the technology modernization requirements and the current physical infrastructure obsolescence issues in the exiting control center through the design and construction of a new control center and the migration of all systems and functions into the project. The goal of the project is to implement a modern Control Center for the facility with the necessary continuity, security and technology capabilities that support its critical functions through an all-hazards event, with flexibility for future growth and market opportunities. This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid in Vancouver, WA with onsite 3 days weekly. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $62.00 - $69.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package. The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Organizational Development, Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred. With an applicable Bachelor's degree, 10 years of experience is required. Without a non-applicable Bachelor's degree, 12 years of experience is required. Without a Bachelor's degree, 14 years of experience is required. Experience must include project management and leading complex and high-risk Data Center, Control Room, Telecommunications, related projects using industry standard methods and tools for managing schedules, dependencies, resources, funding and developing technical specifications and project plans for large-sized projects (over $25M or manage 20+ people). Experience accurately assessing and estimating project costs. Experience writing and understanding functional and technical specifications. Experience with developing project schedule timelines to reflect major tasks (scoping, planning, design, procurement, execution, testing). Advanced skills with MS Project to include fundamental operation, function, and workflow regarding timelines, dependencies, project expectations, milestones, and resources. Expert at eliciting information from stakeholders, documenting and communicating, including via Project Plans, Functional & Technical Specifications, Schedules, Resource Plans, Budgets and Presentations. Valid U.S. Driver's License is required. Preferred: Project management, technical or engineering background and experience with similar telecommunications, operational center or data center migrations to a new facility. IT project and program management experience within an Information Technology or Operational Technology environment. Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
